Citizen’s Anxiety (2017)

This film explores the space that one occupies between imaginaries of media and culture. People’s identities are multitude and dynamic however, they are increasingly challenged by the boxes and categorisations that maintain order in a chaotic world. Nonetheless, this process can be exclusionary – it leaves the misplaced and forgotten. In such a sense, people acts as inner mirrors, only able to understand ourselves through others’ understandings of us, whatever they may be. Is there a way to go surpass these limits of our conceptions?
The film uses multiple exposures, layering and constructing this particular narrative.
