Black Water Fever (2018)

An unnamed woman wakes up from a coma after sixteen years. Stranded in an unfamiliar world, the woman begins to reconcile her dark past with an impossible future.
‘Blackwater Fever’ explores this insidious pressure in the context of motherhood, following the pregnancy of an unnamed Woman, who seeks desperately to fit an ideal of ‘motherhood’ but finds herself constantly falling short. The film traces her battle with this pressure and how it affects her inner psychological state, Moving from sadness to alienation, which in turn becomes a sort of psychosis.
